New Dry Goods and Liquid Plant Upgrade 2000 to 2004
TESTIMONIAL
While General Manager at Senba USA, I had many challenges to overcome. We had outgrown our space and were hard pressed to find available “food ready” space nearby so we were faced with the monumental challenge of converting a warehouse into a grade “A” Japanese food processing facility. Additionally, we had a limited budget and limited time window to complete the facility and get up and running.
Fortunately, through a positive recommendation in the industry, I found Millennium Mechanical and Myles McCarron. Myles used his years of food industry experience as a mechanical engineer at some of the top food companies in the industry (and the standards they demand) to help us convert a warehouse into a top notch food processing facility, on time, and in budget.
Senba USA Dry Facility – A-Z Turnkey
Through a consultative approach first with our sales and management teams, he was first able to determine our needs and design our facility and infrastructure around our business plan. With the basic business plan in place, Myles first helped with the sourcing of food processing and packaging equipment and then helped with the conversion of the warehouse space into a food processing facility (drainage, water and power upgrades, air circulation, pest control, wash down paneling, spacing considerations, city regulations, industry regulations). Myles designed the plans and then selected and managed contractors that could finish on time and in budget. Almost more importantly, throughout the process, Myles leveraged his contacts at the city to help Senba USA navigate the labyrinth of regulations and personalities that could potentially derail any project.
From the design aspect, Myles was able to design our production line and fit equipment into very tight spaces while at the same time leaving enough space for routine maintenance and to comply with industry regulations. The thing I enjoyed most about working with Myles was that he always provided options for every aspect of the project. Based on my budget and timing and future goals, I was given the Gold, Silver and Bronze options and the related consequences of each option. As often happens, especially with a foreign company with different understandings of standards and culture, there were changes in the plans and direction but Myles was flexible and nimble to work with us to get to the finish line.
In the end, we converted a warehouse to a top notch permitted food processing facility with equipment installed, running and making food in less than a year in the Bay Area.
Senba USA Liquid Processing Facility – Bulk Liquid Tank Installation, Conveyance Systems
Myles was also instrumental in the installation of bulk soy sauce tanks and liquid conveyance systems at our existing liquid processing facility with the company realizing significant savings in the cost of goods and labor as a result.
